About the event
Black Voices Cornwall is hosting a immersive printing workshop. You'll have the opportunity to design and print onto tote and jewellery bags using African inspired colours, prints and symbols. You'll then be able to take your uniquely printed bags home to show off or gift to loved ones.
The workshop will be led by the fabulos artist, Maria Cockle. We only ask that you come ready to immerse yourself into a part of African culture and leave with community connections and of course, beautifully printed bags!
This event is kindly funded by Seasalt Cornwall.
For the last hour of the workshop we are going to contribute to Wildwork's brand new project, 'Hello Stranger'. Led by artist Bec Applebee, we'll be printing our African inspired designs onto recylced fabric patches, which will be sewn together to create a panel on the Story Shelter.
